There are two sizes of connectors:

Large Toslink connectors are used where you might have room for the connection and will work with the large 5mm outside diameter cable that can minimize the bend radius and can handle harsher environments.

Small Toslink connectors are used where you tighter working conditions for the connection on DVD's, CD and Super audio CD players, and surround sound receivers and will not fall out as easy as the design of this connection is held in by the friction on the two small tabs on the side of the" dog style housing".
These connectors are less expensive and work well with the industry standard 2,2mm size cable. The core is the same on all 1000-micron POF cables. Whether it’s the 5mm or the 2.2mm the attenuation (optical loss) is less than 0.15dB/m on this premium data grade cable (this allows our cables to perform at much longer lengths than the competition)

 

PN F07 connectors / cables are used where you need a duplex application.
